- 1844 – Jonathan Walker is jailed in the city calabozo for stealing slaves.
- 2007 – Brandon Ward is sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Joseph Hall. The Escambia County Commission unanimously passes an ordinance modifying the limits on condominiums at Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key.
