- 2004 – Jeff Bergosh reclaims the Escambia County School Board seat held by his wife Carissa following his return from deployment inOperation Iraqi Freedom.
- 2005 – The Pensacola City Council holds a reconsideration vote on their previous approval of the Community Maritime Park concept. It passes 8-2, with Jewel Cannada-Wynn joining Marty Donovan in dissent.
