- 2004 – An investigation by the State Attorney's Office concludes that a Pensacola Police Department raid of the Arety's Angels strip club received "far greater manpower and financing" than similar raids due to the influence of Escambia County Administrator George Touart.[1]
- 2016 - Republican presidential candidate and frontrunner Donald Trump speaks to a 12,500 person overflow capacity rally held at the Pensacola Bay Center.
