- 1821 – Transfer of Florida to the United States: Andrew Jackson sends his wife Rachel from Gonzalia to occupy the Spanish Governor's house vacated by Jose Callava.
- 1823 – The City of Pensacola is legally incorporated by the territorial legislature of Florida.
- 1980 - Southern rock musicians the Rossington-Collins Band, Blackfoot, Johnny Van Zant, and LeRoux perform at the Mobile Fairgrounds.
- 2002 – Soccer complex corruption scandal: W. D. Childers is convicted on one count of violating Sunshine Law.
- 2011 - British post-new wave band The Psychedelic Furs perform at Vinyl Music Hall.
- 2018 - At 1810 hours (6:10 pm), US Navy Ensign Jacob Bishop and his wife Michaela become the proud parents of baby James Robert Bishop, the last baby to be born at Pensacola Navy Hospital.
