- 1905 – W. A. Blount submitted a Florida Senate version of State Representative John Campbell Avery, Jr.'s "Jim Crow" bill to segregate the Pensacola streetcar system.
- 1906 – Jacqueline Cochran was born.
- 1908 – Streetcar operators' strike: At 9:45 p.m., a streetcar was dynamited on East Wright Street between Hayne and Alcaniz.
