Volleyball Pensacola
Volleyball Pensacola is a volleyball club devoted to the quality instruction of the game’s skill and technique to middle- and high-school-aged girls. Try-outs are open to all girls in grades 6-12. Formed in 1996 by the late Coach Randy Pounders, it focuses on the development of the player as a whole.
Touted as one of the most successful volleyball clubs in the region, Volleyball Pensacola is proud to have a diverse staff of coaches that possess a culmination of experience to further advance our players into well-rounded individuals, both on and off the volleyball court.
The club showcases its players before collegiate coaches by competing in some of the top tournaments in the South: the USA Volleyball Junior Olympic National Championships, AAU Nationals, the Tampa National Qualifier, the Long Horn National Qualifier in Dallas, Cajunland in New Orleans, the Peachtree Classic in Atlanta, the Hi Neighbor in Ashville and our own LiZardfest tournaments.
Most recently, the 2008 - 14's team qualified for the Junior Olympic National Championships in Dallas, Texas. This invitation-only tournament selects only 48 teams from around the country for participation. This Volleyball Pensacola team also qualified and participated in the Junior Olympic Championships of 2007 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
