April 9 – Alex King, who was convicted in 2002, along with his brother Derek, for the November 26, 2001 murder of their father, is released from prison.
April 8 – Lurleen Wallace is selected to replace Tom Delaino as president of Pensacola Junior College.
April 7 – Ryan Green is sentenced to life in prison for the 2003 murder of Pensacola Police Officer James Hallman.
April 4 – Anthony Mattheiss is sentenced to 15 years in prison for the DUI-manslaughter of Charles Stanton in 2007.
April 2 – U.S. presidential candidate John McCain, who underwent flight training at Pensacola NAS, speaks at a Pensacola Junior College rally.
