William Davis "Rusty" Wells is the current City Attorney for the City of Pensacola.
Education[edit]
He is a 1962 graduate of Pensacola High School. Wells also graduated from the University of Florida in 1965 and obtained his law degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., in 1969.
Career[edit]
Wells became the City Attorney in July 2008, after serving as an Assistant City Attorney for the previous 23 years. Prior to joining the City Attorney's Office, Wells operated a private practice in Pensacola for 5 years, and previously served for 10 years as Assistant General Counsel to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in New York City.
