November 21: 1698 – Andrés de Arriola arrived in Pensacola Bay to establish the Presidio Santa María de Galve. 2000 – Jim Paul began his tenure as Escambia County Superintendent of Schools. 2002 – The Pensacola City Council approved the Festival Park conceptual plan for the Trillium Property, including a replacement for the aging Bayfront Auditorium.
