There were actually two redoubts on slightly higher ground to the northwest, the [[Queen's Redoubt]] and the [[Prince of Wales Redoubt]], but I think maybe sometimes the whole string of fortifications was referred to collectively as "Fort George." If Marley's recount is accurate, that may explain the confusion.
