Spaceship House is the name commonly given to the structure at 1304 Panferio Drive in Pensacola Beach. The house, which resembles popular depictions of alien UFOs, is actually a "Futuro" prefabricated house. Designed in the 1960s by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen, about a hundred were constructed.
The Pensacola Beach Futuro was built in 1966[1] and sits atop a lower structure made of concrete block. A fifty-foot walkway leads up to the Futuro and a surrounding patio.
