Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen & Taproom is a restaurant and bar located at 10 Palafox Place. It was opened in early 2008 by owners Corey Fogarty and Joe Abston.

Development

Development of Hopjacks was announced in 2007 after Mexican eatery Margarita's vacated its location at 10 South Palafox.[1] The restaurant and its adjacent space, formerly occupied by The Pillars, were merged and renovated by Bounds Architectural Studio and contractors George Keen and David Rhodes.

Co-owner Corey Fogarty chronicled the progress on a blog, initially intending to open before Christmas 2007, then Mardi Gras 2008. After various delays, the restaurants served its first customers on February 13, 2008.[2]

Mobile, AL - Location

Hopjacks opened their second store on 251 Dauphin Street in downtown Mobile, AL. on June 10th, 2009. Hopjacks second location boasts 50 beers on tap and of course 100+ bottled features. The new location features mezzanine seating and a mezzanine stage for live music.
