George Washington Wright was a prominent Pensacolian.
Wright served as a commissioned officer on the Confederate side during the Civil War.
Married Margaret Emma Bagley on April 16, 1860, in Covington, Louisiana. Lived at 24 West Gregory Street.
Wright had many interests in the lumber business, and formed the company which would later be run by his son William as the W. B. Wright Co.
