The Krewe du Ya Yas is an all-female krewe that participates in the Mardi Gras and Fiesta of Five Flags parades and other events. It was founded on October 21, 2002 by a group of nine friends: Paige Beall, Rachael Whibbs, Lori Perkins, Ginny Stevens, Kathy Crawford, Huntley Jimenez, Valicia Ray, Wendi Sampson, and Ann Williams.
The krewe now has around 125 members, who often sport pink wigs and tiaras, and is dedicated to supporting breast cancer research and awareness.
