Jeremy Cassady is a deupty with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office who was seriously injured while responding to a home invasion on October 29, 2010. He was one of three deputies shot by Philip Monier, who allegedly broke into the home to confront his ex-girlfriend Jackie Rosenbloom and demand the return of a ring he had given her. When deputies responded to a 911 call made by Rosenbloom, Monier held her hostage and fired at the deputies.
