On second thought, I'm thinking maybe the "2009" part of in the title is unnecessary. Have there been any other royal visits? — admin • talk 14:38, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- None by the spanish, at least. I like the year, though. There was only one streetcar operators' strike but I put the article at "Streetcar operators' strike, 1908" ... But we can go either with or without it, no big deal really.
- Here are Wikipedia's conventions:
If there is an established, universally agreed-upon common name for an event, use that name. Otherwise, create a name using these guidelines. In most cases, the title of the article should contain at least the following two descriptors: * Where the incident happened. * What happened. If these descriptors are not sufficient to identify the event unambiguously, a third descriptor should be added: * When the incident happened. The year ("when") should not be used in the title unless other descriptors are insufficient to establish the identity of the incident.
- Their guidelines would point toward dropping years unless necessary to "establish the identity of the incident." — dscosson • talk 14:45, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- If you like the year, I'm fine with keeping it. I'll just make a few redirects. — admin • talk 14:51, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- Really, do whatever you like. I'm inclined to defer to Wikipedia guidelines. — dscosson • talk 14:55, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
