Party designations[edit]
Great work on these articles, but at first glance the "REP" and "DEM" tags look like wikilinks because of their colors. What would you think about something like this instead?
REP | Ron McNesby (i) |
REP | David Morgan |
DEM | Samuel E. Lucas |
DEM | Larry Scapecchi |

REP Ron McNesby (i) REP David Morgan DEM Samuel E. Lucas DEM Larry Scapecchi
- My druthers would be something with a little less emphasis on the party — see one more idea below — but I don't feel strongly about it. --Admin 15:19, 23 April 2008 (CDT)
REP Ron McNesby (i) REP David Morgan DEM Samuel E. Lucas DEM Larry Scapecchi
- Not wild about the borders... I will think upon it... If I may ask, is there a particular reason who you to lessen the emphasis on the party? dscosson ··· talk 17:28, 23 April 2008 (CDT)
- Not really, just an aesthetic thing I guess. The Monobook theme for Mediawiki is so neutral that any bold color immediately draws the eye and makes the actual content (in this case, the candidates' names) look secondary. My thinking is, if it's not clickable, it should be subdued. Call it graphic designer OCD. :) --Admin 23:18, 23 April 2008 (CDT)
