Jim Tanck, known as "Mr. Thursday Night," was a board member of the Pensacola Heritage Foundation credited with creating the Evenings in Old Seville Square concert series in 1987.

Tanck moved to the Pensacola area in 1981 and was an employee of Milsoft Utilities. The concert series arose from the Foundation's earlier "An Evening in Old Seville Square" program and Tanck's desire to bring city residents downtown.

He died of a stroke on December 15, 2007, at the age of 63.
