Marty Donovan is a member of the Pensacola City Council, representing District 4. He was elected in May 2001.

Donovan, a Realtor/Broker with Donovan Realty, is a graduate of Sacred Heart School, Pensacola Catholic High School and Auburn University. A Pensacola resident since 1956, he is Co-Chairman of the Bayou Texar Foundation and a director of the Escambia Bay Marine Institute, a school program for troubled teens. Involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Marty was the 1996 Big Brother of the Year.

Donovan has also served on the City of Pensacola Citizens’ Committee for Bayou Texar/Carpenters Creek Storm Water Assessment, the Escambia County Citizens’ Task Force on Urban Storm Water Runoff, the City’s Code Enforcement Board and the Escambia County Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Donovan was the sole dissenting Council member to vote against the Community Maritime Park project and became active in the group Save Our City, which attempted to overturn the Council's decision by referendum.

Married 30 years to Helene, they have a son, Ryan, and a daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Rick Johnson.
