(Apparently this image comes from a postcard that was sent shortly after the lynching. I am not sure if an image's presence on a postcard qualifies as "publishing"; if so it would have been "published" prior to 1923. My hunch is that the postcard does c) |

Apparently this image comes from a postcard that was sent shortly after the lynching. I am not sure if an image's presence on a postcard qualifies as "publishing"; if so it would have been "published" prior to 1923. My hunch is that the postcard does constitute publication.
This image (or other media file) is in the public domain because its copyright has expired. This applies to the United States, Canada, the European Union and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 70 years. |
