Nash also has recently been appointed to the National Association of Black Hotel Owners &
 
Operators & Developers Board of Directers (NABHOOD) nabhood.com were he shares his
 
expertise to help the African Americans entrepreneurs  enter and be successful into the
 
Lodging Industry.
 
 
NABHOOD’s mission, to increase the number of African-Americans
 
developing, managing, operating and owning hotels; increase vendor
 
opportunities & executive level jobs for minorities, thereby creating wealth
 
within the African-American community. Designed for interested people within
 
the hospitality industry, and want to work with people that will help them realize
 
their dreams and make a difference.
 
 
 
Nash is currently serving as an Honorary Deputy Sherriff for the
 
Escambia County Sheriffs Department and is an active member of
 
the First Responders Unit in which he received a special recognition
 
for the Assistance to the Escambia Sheriffs Office and its Disaster
 
Response efforts.
 
 
Nash also currently serving on the Escambia County Tourist Development Council designed to
 
help the community attract tourism to the Pensacola area and advise the Commissioners as to
 
the responsibility of the Tourist bed tax. 
 
 
Nash believes in the importance of supporting industry issues, with an emphasis on the future.
 
Through his involvement in AAHOA, he has accepted the responsibility of encouraging
 
participation from young adults within the hospitality industry.

End of the Line

End of the Line is a vegan café located in downtown Pensacola at 610 East Wright Street. The café serves a variety of coffees and other beverages, as well as soups, sandwiches, and desserts, all of which contain no animal products. The café also offers three-course vegan dinners and brunches, on Thursdays and Sundays, respectively. End of the Line is primarily operated by Jen Knight and Ryan Modee.

The L&N Railroad grain elevator

The Louisville and Nashville Railroad grain elevator at Tarragona Wharf (as seen from the the American National Bank Building c. 1910 or 1911) was constructed in 1898 and had a capacity of 500,000 bushels of wheat. The grain elevator was damaged beyond repair in the 1926 hurricane.

Selected biography

Quint Studer

Quint Studer (born 1951), formerly the president of Baptist Hospital, is a health care consultant and founder of the Studer Group. He and his wife Rishy bought the Pensacola Pelicans in 2002. He is one of three principals in the Community Maritime Park project, which will include a new ballpark for the Pelicans and office space and a conference center for the Studer Group.
