The Coffee Cup is a greasy spoon-style diner located on Cervantes Street, between Davis Street and 6th Avenue. The restaurant is owned by Roy Cooley.
The Coffee Cup is a local landmark and has been a breakfast staple for Pensacolians since its opening in 1945. The restaurant is particularly renowned for its grits, especially its "Nassau" variety, which is a dish of grits, bacon, ham, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, and seasonings. Popular cook Creola Rutledge singlehandedly works the grill.
