Gonzalia, also known as the Fifteen-Mile House, was the estate of Don Manuel Gonzalez.
When Andrew Jackson entered Florida in 1821, he initially established himself at Gonzalia. Later, the first session of the Florida Legislature was held at Gonzalia.
