- 1704 – Andrés de Arriola arrives in Pensacola Bay with food supplies to reinforce the Presidio Santa María de Galve, which had previously borrowed provisions from French Mobile.
- 1719 – The French fleet, under Jean Baptiste Le Moyne and his brother Sieur de Bienville, enters Pensacola Bay, fires on Fort San Carlos, and captures Pensacola.
- 1856 – Construction begins on the Alabama & Florida Railroad.
- 2006 – Escambia County Commissioners request validation of funds for the Southwest Escambia Improvement District, which was approved but later halted by a complaint by Dr. Greg Strand.
