Various federal, state, and regional offices will be contested in elections to be held November 4, 2008. Primary elections will be held August 26, 2008.
Federal offices
President of the United States
U.S. House of Representatives, First District of Florida
Florida's first congressional district encompasses Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, and Washington counties.
Both Joe Roberts (No Party Affiliation) and Robert Crockett Peterman II pre-filed for the race but failed to qualify and will not appear on the ballot.

State Attorney, 1st Judicial Circuit
The First Judicial Circuit Court of Florida encompasses Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties.
As no other candidates qualified for the office, Eddins was reelected by default.
Public Defender, 1st Judicial Circuit
This is an open seat as the incumbent, Jack Behr, is not seeking re-election.
