- 1828 – Rev. Isaac Boring was appointed to replace the Rev. Dr. Charles Hardy as leader of the First Methodist Church.
- 1834 – The Alabama, Florida & Georgia Railroad Company was incorporated with the intent to build a railroad from Pensacola to the Florida-Alabama border, and thence to Columbus, Georgia.
- 1933 – The Pensacola Historical Society was formed, with twenty-one members meeting for an initial meeting at City Hall.
