==Biography==
Ronald Townsend was elected to the Pensacola city council in May 2002.

He is president of [[R.P. Townsend & Associates]], a management consultant firm, specializing in Human Resources issues. Ronald serves on the Board of Directors for [[Community Equity Investments, Inc]]. He is a past member of the [[Escambia County Zoning Board of Adjustment]], Florida Commission on Human Relations, Florida Lemon Law Board, Board of Directors of the [[Escambia County United Way]], and Board of Directors of [[Lakeview]]. His organization affiliations include: Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, [[Krewe of African Kings]], [[Knights of Peter Claver]], [[American Legion Post #193]].

Townsend has a Master's Degree from Antioch University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Southern University. He and his wife Lily are active members of [[St. Joseph Catholic Church]] and have four children.
