Editing The Wharf

'''The Wharf''' is a 220-acre mixed-use entertainment and shopping complex in [[Orange Beach, Alabama]] that includes around 60 retail shops, eateries and other businesses, a [[Rave Motion Pictures]] theater complex, a 112-foot Ferris wheel, and a 10,000-seat amphitheater. Condominium residences are situated on the north side of the property.

It was developed by Birmingham-based company AIG Baker and opened in May [[2006]]. [[Wikipedia:Hank Williams, Jr.|Hank Williams]] played the first concert at the amphitheater on [[May 27]].

A 27,000-square-foot conference center broke ground on [[October 24]], [[2008]], and is expected to open in March [[2009]].
